Kenworth of South Florida was established in 2006 and the principal owner Todd Hays has been at the forefront of the South Florida based Commercial Truck Dealership’s success every step of the way. In fact, Mr. Hays has been an integral part of the South Florida commercial truck, and export industry for almost 30 years.
12 Year Anniversary
Upon graduating from the Florida State University, he excelled at Kenworth Truck of South Florida and Hino Truck of South Florida while earning his MBA at Nova Southeastern University where he still presents to graduate business entrepreneurship students. His tenacious style of market development and sales management opens doors and in 1997, he brought the Freightliner Corporation SelectTrucks Dealership to Miami. He then established locations in West Texas, Arizona and Southern California. Experienced at export and proficient in asset value maximization, he was recognized by international bank lenders and later appointed to manage the technology and transportation asset portfolio of El Camino Resources de America Latina, then the largest privately held leasing company in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.

Beginning in 2001, Todd Hays accepted a leadership role at Ryder Systems in the Asset Management group. He shaped merchandising enhancements at nationwide retail centers, directed domestic wholesale of assets and traveled abroad to open direct sales of off-lease assets to leaders in the Russian Federation, Vietnam, Central and South American countries and countries throughout Africa. During his 5 year tenure, he was awarded with honors for creating success at Ryder for his group, the employees and for company shareholders.

The desire to start a business came with the re-establishment of the Kenworth Truck brand in the South Florida market and in the truck leasing sector. The eventual designation as a PACCAR Global Sales Support dealer recognized Todd Hays and his team for having a unique expertise for constructing transportation solutions designed for foreign markets. With success and constant maturity throughout these market segments and geographic area, the need and the desire to grow continued. In 2010, Mr. Hays added the Capacity Terminal Tractor franchise. In 2012 he expanded with a full service location in Fort Pierce and again to Palm Beach County in 2014 with a Riviera Beach grand opening in the summer of that year. These changes further broadened Kenworth of South Florida’s reach and the company acquired a Hino Diesel Truck and Mitsubishi Fuso franchises.

A fourth location in the Naples / Ft. Myers area is under construction. All locations are Paccar MX, Cummins, and Caterpillar certified and are all-make diesel engine parts outlets. A constant pursuit of excellence and commitment is designed to fulfill the needs of the South Florida, nationwide and foreign customer base. Kenworth of South Florida is a privately held company with 100 employees and is authorized for sales, parts and service of Kenworth Trucks, Capacity Terminal Tractors, Hino Trucks, Mitsubishi Fuso, Isuzu Diesel, Caterpillar and Cummins.
